Thumbprint Artifacts

Market vendor

Founded on the premise that every thumbprint is unique, Thumbprint Artifacts selects its artisan products for their quality and inspirational beauty. The company was started in 2012 by two life-long friends, Kris Engle and Becky Cox. As a resident of South Africa, Kris recognized that there were beautiful handcrafted items being produced in rural villages, and they needed to get to the US market.

The current product line consists of candles, linens, ceramics, and other home décor items. With unemployment over 40% in South Africa, each item purchased not only helps the artisans, but their families and the communities where they live. Approximately 90% of the artisans are women who would not have a form of employment without the opportunity to use their creative talents for income.

In addition, because Kris and Becky believe it's important to support causes in the same country from where they source their product line - South Africa - with every purchase you make, a donation is made to Save the Rhino to support their efforts in protecting this critically endangered species.
